Sailing Regatta Weeks

A week of race coaching and friendly competition

Dinghy sailing holidays in Europe 2025

Our Mark Warner Sailing Regatta Weeks in 2025 will be confirmed soon.

Designed for anyone interested in dinghy racing (with the emphasis on ‘racing’) be it to learn, improve or just looking to have some fun racing. This week involves a variety of fun and competitive dinghy and multihull racing, coupled with race tuition, clinics and feedback sessions to boost your performance.

Racing for everyone
Aimed at all levels of competence, our intention is to introduce those that have never raced, to the techniques, tactics and rules of racing while keeping things simple and enjoyable. For more experienced sailors with some racing experience, we look to push you forward, looking at your boat handling, tactics and rig tuning to improve your positioning in the fleet.

Hints and tips from expert instructors
Charlie Falconer, our Sports Manager will head up the expert instructors, who are on hand to assist and guide sailors from the beach to the start line and round the courses. They will also be on the water to give hints and tips in addition to the usual level of safety. This fun week has an emphasis on taking part and enjoying the racing in a safe environment.

Entry level
RYA Start Sailing Level 1 or Young Sailors Scheme Stage 1 & 2 (at least) or equivalent standard is required for entry to this regatta week.

Cost
There in no charge for the week, however we would ask that you select the Regatta Week option when you are choosing your activities during the booking process on this website or over the phone to help with organisation.

Regatta Week Programme

Sessions and clinics
Each morning there will be demonstrations of techniques by our expert waterfront team. Clinics and sessions designed to teach and improve racing techniques are offered throughout the week.
Debriefs
Clinics are tailored to the days events on the water and key areas of racing. After each session on the water there will be group debriefs on what has been practiced and learnt.
Q&A sessions
Each evening, the "official" race team will be hosting a Q&A session at the beach bar, as well as sharing sailing stories of the day.

Racing

There will be an array of races from fun races to a morning and afternoon series of races including singlehanded fleet racing, handicapped racing and at the end of the week the Mark Warner 'Big Race'.

Racing is spread across the week and will be run both in the mornings and afternoons ensuring everyone has the opportunity to take part and compete - in addition to fitting around any other activities or childcare requirements.
Feel free to dip in and out as much or as little of the racing as you like, signing up in the morning for that day’s racing events.
