Whilst we had a good holiday there were areas that really could be improved and I am still torn between rating a 3 or a 4.
Key factors include:
Accommodation - much needs updating the improving particularly in the Village apartments which are tired and dated.
Childcare - felt half hearted and under staffed - my son was in a group of 14 with one childcarer. The activities were really unimaginative eg: 1 hour allocated to get an ice-cream from the bar (billed to our room) and hours of Uno and 21! There could be more pool and spots activities ... especially tennis as the courts were empty! And table tennis which is surely simple?
Tennis and Padel - you need a second padel court and URGENTLTY need shade by the padel court! The tennis team could run so many more sessions and be more inclusive to younger players which would create more activity on court. And the Evening Tennis was limited to over 18 ... not inclusive!
Evening entertainment - everyone loves Rock the Room, the quiz and tennis night, but 2 x nights of a bad DJ and and terrible guitarist is NOT great
Food - the quality of the food was not great - really greasy and repetitive. And the hotel need more staff to clear tables - we were clearing our own tables.
Our kids had a great time because they made good friends and love the watersports ... these were great as the wind helps!!!

The holiday was great but 2 minor gripes .. happy hour only have 10% discount on drinks. Also, my family and I became slightly I’ll (probably food poisoning) from one of the restaurants and nobody tried to address this situation on anyway.

First went on a Mark Warner with our children over forty years ago. This latest one was with grandchildren. Still the great watersports and team spirit among the staff. From top management (Sue) to the most junior members of the team, we found warmth and a wish to make our holiday great. Lemnos is unspoiled. The resort complex interesting and unusual, the bay beautiful. Food was amazing. Local staff were helpful and charming. We hope to return…if my elderly knees can take the slopes on which the resort is built!

Everything was perfect - fantastic MW and local hotel staff, the facilities both hotel and sports were excellent, the tuition was fantastic and the gardens were beautiful too. We were three generations, from 8 to 80, and everyone's wants and needs were totally catered for. Everyone wants to come back next year, and I'm sure we will.

I'm always amazed that Sue recognises returning guests, given how many she must meet each year but we got a very warm welcome. THe food is as delicious as always, all the staff are friendly and helpful. I tried the tennis for the first timethis year, I had never played before and was nervous but Emily put me at my ease, I enoyed the tennis xpress course very much. Both my daughters enjoyed their time in the Maverics and Surfers clubs but also had fun developing their siling skills on the RYA level 2 course. We're already planning our return for next summer!

Overall it was a great venue and holiday. There are however a few things that would make it even better:
- clearly mark vegetarian and vegan food
- offer e bikes so that less fit / grandparents can join family bike rides
- more ‘easy’ rides. ride to town to get coffee as a group could be daily.
- larger covered area for exercise classes
- better order/ control in the older aged kids club. stronger personalities who can ‘gather’ stragglers and encourage participation.
- in older kids club, at start of week, tell them about or include a training session fir first time sailing/windsurfing
- improved range of sandwiches at the bars for vegetarian's (cheese and tomato toastie? )
- teach staff to use different knife to cut meat sandwiches and ‘vegan’ ones. No point offering a vegan sandwich and using a meat knife to cut it!

So enjoyable from start to finish. First time trying a Mark Warner holiday and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was so well thought out and straight forward. Food was delicious (which I was not expecting!), my three kids (9/7/4) all adored the kids clubs/activities and it was such a joy to try windsurfing and sailing after many years! We met so many lovely people and the resort itself was super clean. Staff incredible. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Lovely hotel, with good pool and lovely beachfront with excellent beach bar and very friendly staff. Food was excellent all week. MW staff were amazing and easy to find all the time. Great for families with younger kids. Only downside was the 2 hour airport transfer, but was definitely worth it.

Another excellent holiday for us in Greece. Despite an initial issue with Kids club groupings, it was sorted and we had a fabulous time.
It's outstanding how much time you manage to have doing what you want - activities or distinct lack of activity - whilst the kids are in their element, being busy without screens :))
